Club Announces Boston Common Golf/Keegan Bradley Golf Scholarship, Donation of Three Full Swing Simulators and $5 Tee Times at Boston Public Golf Courses for Youth to Expand Year-Round Access to the Game in Boston.

BOSTON, MA – Boston Common Golf today introduced Common Ground, a community platform that brings together the club's ongoing efforts to expand access to golf across Greater Boston and New England. To mark the occasion, approximately 70 young people from across Boston participated in a youth golf clinic at George Wright Golf Course featuring Boston Common Golf player and Massachusetts native Keegan Bradley, 2x Grammy-nominated multi-platinum singer-songwriter and Boston Common Golf Limited Partner and Ambassador Noah Kahan, and Mayor Michelle Wu. The event was held in partnership with Kahan's mental health initiative, The Busyhead Project, and welcomed participants from Boston Public Schools, Boston Parks and Recreation programs, and Youth on Course. Following remarks from Mayor Wu, and Keegan Bradley joined local golf instructors to lead interactive golf activities.

Boston Common Golf, in partnership with Full Swing, a founding partner of Common Ground, announced the donation of three golf simulators to the City of Boston, providing year-round access to golf technology and instruction. The club also announced the launch of the Boston Common Golf/Keegan Bradley Golf Scholarship, funded in partnership with the New England Section of the PGA of America and through proceeds from the Boston Common Golf Pro-Am Tournament. The annual scholarship will award $5,000 to two high school golfers, one male and one female, with eligibility criteria and application details to be announced at a later date.

Additionally, Boston Common Golf, along with Youth on Course, is making $5 tee times available for Youth on Course members at George Wright Golf Course throughout the summer, and will continue to collaborate with The Busyhead Project to support its growth across New England through mental health and golf initiatives, including Folks and Fairways, Noah Kahan's annual charity golf tournament and concert. Boston Common Golf is also partnering with the City of Boston to support the new Boston Family Golf Nights program, launching in August and offering families affordable evening tee times and introductory lessons at George Wright Golf Course and The William J. Devine Golf Course.

Common Ground builds on community initiatives Boston Common Golf has supported since its founding in 2024 as one of six inaugural teams in TGL, the innovative team golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's TMRW Sports. Through partnerships with local organizations, the club has funded 10,000 rounds of golf for youth through Youth on Course, hosted clinics throughout New England, welcomed young golfers to Fenway Park for on-field instruction, and brought golf experiences directly into schools through equipment donations and mobile simulator activations.

Common Ground launches with a $250,000 gift from New England native Sue Curtin, whose lifelong commitment to expanding access to golf reflects the platform's mission. Curtin discovered the game through public golf courses and junior golf programs and, early in her career, volunteered at Franklin Park before helping Mass Golf develop its first junior golf programs.

“Boston is a national leader in creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and reach their dreams. Through partnerships like this one, we're expanding access to recreational programs and helping more young people learn how to play golf without barriers,” said Mayor Michelle Wu. “We're grateful to Boston Common Golf and The Busyhead Project for investing in our youth and helping make the game more accessible across our city.”

“Growing up in New England, I know firsthand how important access to the game can be. Golf opened a lot of doors for me, and I'm proud to be part of an organization that's creating more opportunities for young people across Boston and the region,” said Keegan Bradley, Boston Common Golf Team Member. “It's incredibly meaningful to have a scholarship in my name. Golf changed my life, and I feel a responsibility to help create those same opportunities for the next generation. If this scholarship can help even a few young golfers chase their dreams, both on and off the course, that's something I'll always be proud of. That's what Common Ground is all about: making sure more young people can discover the game, stay connected to it, and believe there's a place for them in golf.”

“I've found that things like music and golf can create moments of connection and give you a sense of belonging, while also helping to keep you grounded. It’s important for young people to feel more connected to themselves, each other, and to their communities,” said Noah Kahan, 2x Grammy-nominated multi-platinum singer-songwriter and Boston Common Golf Limited Partner and Ambassador. “It's great to have Boston Common Golf and The Busyhead Project partner together to help bridge that gap.”

“At Boston Common Golf, we believe the game should be accessible to more young people across our region,” said Mark Lev, President and CEO of Boston Common Golf. “Common Ground reflects work we've been committed to since day one and provides a framework for how we'll continue to invest in opportunities that introduce more kids and families to the game. We're grateful to our partners and to the City of Boston for helping make that possible.”
